Greenville Christmas Extravaganza on Saturday

New parade route & time! More bands! Tree Lighting program and Fireworks! It’s that time of year… Christmas is here in Greenville! This year the City of Greenville, working in conjunction with the Chamber & EDC, Convention and Visitors Bureau, Main Street Greenville, and countless donors to the Lights for Liza and Banner projects have raised over $50,000 to fund a Greenville Christmas Extravaganza! These funds were used to purchase a 22 foot tall Christmas tree, new Christmas lights, new city banners, and improve our annual Christmas Parade. The Greenville Christmas Parade will be on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. The planning for this year’s activities began in early spring when former Mayor Chuck Jordan organized a Christmas Planning Committee, and charged the group with improving the city’s festivities.
