PURPOSE
The Mayor Errick D. Simmons Greenville College Access and Attainment Network (GCAAN) Scholarship is to support students from Greenville public, parochial, and private high schools in attending college. Under the leadership of Mayor Errick D. Simmons, GCAAN was established by the City of Greenville in 2021 with a purpose to expand college access and create a college going culture in the City in partnership with educational partners, local corporations, nonprofits, and social service organizations. The cost of college can be a barrier to many and as such, the Greenville CAAN Scholarship will provide some financial support for selected scholarship recipients.
