The Mayor’s Youth Council provides high school students in the Greenville, Mississippi area an opportunity to LEARN about city government, VOLUNTEER with community organizations, ADVISE the Mayor on youth-related issues and PARTICIPATE in special events and projects as requested by the Mayor.

Students in 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades from all six area high schools (Greenville Weston High School, Greenville Christian, St. Joseph Catholic School, Washington School, Riverside High School, and O’Bannon High School) are eligible to become members. Applications may be obtained from City Hall or principals in September of each year.
The council meets the third Sunday of the month in City Hall and participates in various city events.
